THE NATURAL ORDER OF ELVEN-FFAYRIE & THEIR GOVERNMENTS

The first thing to understand concerns the terminology of “elf” and “fairy.” These terms have nothing to do with size and are actually references to the color white (or light.) There are all types and varying sizes of Elven-Ffayrie. There are even spirits, almost appearing as little more than lights, reminiscent of the original Tinkerbell. These petite sprytes or “will o’ wisps” have been misunderstood as “pixie” (literally, “pict-sidhe” — the painted ones) a term now used to describe all tiny winged fey…

BOEF2ndNewCvrthumb2 The wings are usually a trait exclusive to female Ffayrie, typically sprytes and sylphs. The small Creatures of Faerie are commonly gnomish or dwarvish and are larger than the ‘tiny fey.’ Although small this type tends to be muscular. The Sidhe and Sylvanus folk, who resemble Humans the most, are tall and slender. They are actually 5-8 feet tall, and are the beings usually encountered in the magickal tradition. So why are the Sidhe thought to be small or “wee folk?” It is possible that the “smallness” attribute reflected the unimportance factor impressed toward the Elven-Ffayrie increasingly through the Dark Ages (Elven Holocaust).

THE BOOK OF ELVEN-FAERIE also appears in THE DRUID COMPLEAT anthology!!!

auryn This research should reflect that it is not only unlucky, but inappropriate, to refer to the Creatures of Faerie as “little people.” Furthermore, the generalization as “fairy” is equally insulting to these beings. For this reason I reserve ‘Age of Faerie’ as the history of the ancient fair and fey folk as a whole, along with ‘Creatures of Faerie,’ used to indicate all those being who reside in an Astral Otherworld or ‘Faerieland.’ But ‘Faerieland’ is more appropriately the “Otherworld,” not even “Underworld.” In terms of the phrase “Elven-Ffayrie,” I use it as a way to distinguish gender, derived from its reference to the Sylvanus folk, with female Ffayrie Sylphs and male Sylves (Elves).

[This blog excerpted from the beta edition of The Book of Elven-Faerie.]

d0ee2_brooch_designs_51coYn7iEWL When addressing these folk in magick or meditation, make no generalizations. Each type has a name, so focus clearly on the energy current you wish to make contact with. Also, each personification or manifestation of a general current has a name, and so it is wise to find out the names of these entities and the manner in which they would prefer you to get in contact with them, or some “key.” Unicorns and Dragons come to mind as two ‘Creatures of Faerie’ that you would not call “fairies.” By definition, there are many incredible Otherworld beings that exist beyond Human perception.

2000px-Pythagoras_tree_1_1_13_Summer.svg The Elven-Ffayrie Government is a monarchy, but that is not necessarily the best way to describe their rule because Humans have often used this system of government as a means to set up dictatorships. It is not abused by the Elves. It is a monarchy because it has a King and Queen and a royal court. The King and Queen sit on thrones of crystalline light — or darkness in the case of the Unseelie Court. There are actually two courts now, split by the decision to leave the Humans to the surface world.

The ‘Seelie Court’ is called such meaning ‘blessed’ or ‘blest,’ and they are the Shinning Ones who descended from the Tuatha D’Anu. These figures remain in a timeless dimension even today. Celtic Mythology refers to the Seelie Court as the ‘Trooping Elves,’ who are best seen making their nomadic moves or ‘rades’ once each quarter of the Solar Year (Cor Anar). The purpose of this practice is to uphold a tradition and also because the Elven-Ffayrie are simply restless by nature as a result of the Human presence and its effect on their lives. It is also possible that the genetic memory of constant flight, long travel periods, and using the trees for days on end as watchtowers, have left the Elven-Ffayrie a bit edgy.

druidcomptinythumb The Seelie (‘blessed’) and Unseelie (‘unblessed’) Courts are virtually identical except that one reigns in light and the other in darkness. The cultural development and social progression of the two kingdoms emerged separate but the same. The main separation between them is split over the matter of Humans. The Unseelie Court are more commonly known as ‘Dark Elves,’ because they brood in the dark crystal caverns and chambers of the Subterranean Kingdom. They are bitter against Humans and do not share in the belief in aiding Humans in their transition to the Otherworld, or in the Elven-Ffayrie use of Human Simulacra as vehicles to experience the surface world — through 10% of Eurasian-Aeuropeans still able to contain such a “spirit”…

SECRET KNOWLEDGE FROM THE OTHERWORLD!!!

The Book of Elven-Faerie was written during the preliminary planning stages of the Mardukite Research Organization when it was still under the umbrella parentage of the former Elven Fellowship Circle of Magick. Although completed in 2004, this book was never released to the public until 2009 (after a private electronic beta release in 2008)…

lapis lazuli cloak 2 There are only two things that I knew for certain as a child, almost as if via some kind of genetic memory. Firstly, that the Mystery School and/or Hermetic Order of Merlyn is real, those secret places where Wizards learn their magick, copying as much down to their personal ‘grimoires’ or magickal notebooks as they find useful. Secondly, that there did exist inter-dimensional, albeit “invisible,” entities allowing me the realization when I entered adolescence (and you must brace yourself for this, dear reader) that I am an Elf. Of course, I do not necessarily resemble the contemporary vision of “Santa Claus elves” or the “imaginary beings” that most people conceive of in their head, except for perhaps the model of J.R.R. Tolkein, who spent a great deal of time studying the Ancient Elven Tradition and languages in the research for his fantasy of ‘Middle Earth.’

298924_282581085089418_7496867_n There is an increasing interest in the Elven Tradition as a result of fantasy products over the past years, but practically no solid avenue for a seeker to explore. Internet forums on Elven Ways and Magick are filled mainly with unsolvable inquiries concerning where to find a manual on this topic. While many other books “dabble” into aspects considered Elven or even the Celtic Faerie Tradition, they have a tendency to fall short in establishing the grand legacy and significance the Elven-Ffayrie race played in Human development. The Book of Elven-Faerie is no role-playing game (though it most certainly could be used to supplement one,) nor is it intended as a companion to fantasy literature (again perhaps a secondary use.) It is in fact that ‘Tome of Knowledge and Magick’ that those drawn or inclined to the Elven Way have long sought after.

2000px-Pythagoras_tree_1_1_13_Summer.svg The emergence of the “New Age Movement” brought a revival of interest in Elves and Faerie beings–Nature Spirits in general. Until recently, the “Faerie” section of ‘Ye Olde New Age Shoppe’ contained mainly A-Z encyclopedias, art books containing original works or pressed flowers, and manuals to ‘guide the reader to the Otherworld’ via imagery and guided meditation. This is certainly not enough to base a tradition off of. What’s more, there are many misconceptions that continue to be reprinted in some of these ‘Faery-Wicca’ books that mostly contain rehashes of simple ritual magick and spellcraft mixed with a bit of Celtic history and the use of Celtic Mythology of deities in their rituals. While often employed with great success by magickal practitioners with ceremonial skills, only a small portion of the actual story ends up being relayed to the reader. It is, however, not my wish to speak ill of the work of others, as most of them have at least positively affected global consciousness, furthering the mainstream awareness of the mystical Earthwork and the observation of the Solar Festivals.

d0ee2_brooch_designs_51coYn7iEWL Fortunately, the Elven Way has been carried on by a lineage of which is quite broad at this point, just as a tree branches out with an astronomical number of shoots as it matures. Much of the original knowledge is held by the hereditary/genetic folk memory and practices of mystical ‘family traditions’ and the passing down of ‘innate gifts’ through generations and completely separate from Wicca (which is only about 100 years old at best.) We have often heard and read of the tradition and practices of the village folk witch who lived in a secluded portion of the forest working with their ‘Ffayrie Gardens’ and herbal tinctures, selling potions to girls seeking lovers and men coming to get help in getting laid. What of the Wizard, now? What of the mystic hermit in the forests, living in shanties, caves and on the mountainsides? What of the true Elvish Druids and their secret histories kept long before the Dark Ages when modern civilization was thrust into spiritual ignorance? Yes, their story can finally be revealed in this tome!

BOEF2ndNewCvrthumb2 THE BOOK OF ELVEN-FAERIE The first part of the book focuses on the History of the Elves and Ffayrie as a genetic race. The ‘Elven Histories’ are plural because they involve not only the story of Elves but the genesis of modern Humans too, and chronicle the development of the varying races and cultures. You will learn this secret history as we explore the suppressed and misunderstood journey into Ancient Aeurope including the Anunaki Star People and Ubaid Priesthood of Ancient Sumeria, pre-Eden life, The Mesopotamian Garden of Eden, the Egyptians, Babylonians and finally the dispersion of the Faerie race across the great continent into Keltia on the Western Shores. With the rise of the Milesians (Humans) the Elven-Ffayrie were mostly driven out of civilization, and received intensive persecution from Human religious leaders rooted in politics and the suppression of Truth (certainly not the Holy messages they proclaimed on the surface.) Still, the Elven Tradition survived this malice, transforming (evolving) through necessity as most of these enlightened folk ‘transitioned’ permanently into the Hollow Hills, Otherworld or ‘higher’ spatial dimension which is often equated with the ‘Astral Plane.’

Upon completion of the ‘Elven Histories’ we will explore the nature of the inter-dimensional Faerieland, the manner of its existence and its relationship with the physical plane. This includes the way in which the planes and their inhabitants interact and affect one another. With the resurfacing and interest in the works of Robert Kirk, the famous first-hand initiate of the Otherworld Tradition, this portion of The Book of Elven Faerie specifically will enhance the reader’s perceptions when interpreting supplemental materials of a similar nature. Understand that The Elven Way is quite colorful and variegated like the rays of light manifested in the rainbow. These rays become powerful co-magicians when employed by the awakened mind of the Wizard as we see in our investigation into the mystical side of the Elven Tradition

Neodruidism: Druidry of the 21st Century, A New World Druid Order with Joshua Free

Druidryfrontcroptitlong

druidcomptinythumb Surely, when someone hears the word “new,” it probably means to them that it is ‘not the original’ or that the concept is ‘wholly new’. The neo-movement found within this current age is not really new at all, but tends to work from the most favorable and widely used sources that within themselves will often make claims of originality. I would estimate that the average “New Ager” easily can accumulate a collection of books averaging at least between $50-500 within their first year of mild-to-average avid research and study. While they will most likely still lack the materials often necessary for serious advancement, the second year will often times be spent putting hundreds of dollars into buying and/or making ritual tools and other ‘mystical’ bric-a-brac, often before the full understanding of what the item represents has been fully realized.

BOEF2ndNewCvrthumb2 The Druids were magicians, though, but they were also poets and musicians, healers and shamans, statesmen and politicians. In the early days of the Celts and Druids, the sacred sites and ‘stone circles’ were sought for their ability to assist in the reverence of Nature and the “Source of All” and the same was not destroyed for the purpose of building artificial churches, a celebration of the means of men more than a God. Even though Druidism appeared to ‘die’ with the coming of Christianity, the practices continued to covertly survive embedded in the works of Bardic Schools, which were able to make contributions with remnants still found today in British, Welsh and Irish traditions.

Draconomiconfrontthumb Unlike ever before in the current age, there is actually a dire need for the Druids to make a return in our civilization today – regardless if they are in one-to-one reflection with the ‘classical’ image of Druidry. But, nonetheless, the fate of the planet seemingly depends on this very presence, under whatever semantics is being observed to represent the Guardians of the Old Ways – true stewards of the very face of the earth itself. Clearly, if this way of thinking is not for you, then it should never be forced. It is a living tradition that comes from the stars – and the blood of those who are called and chosen to bare the title also come from the stars.

Druidryfrontcrop What is being described here are the same mysteries that have been explored from the beginning of modern civilization, the inception of the Dragon Kings of Mesopotamia and their spread across Eurasia, through the ‘Holy Lands’ and Magan desert, Egyptian Nile, Asia and India, the Siberian mountains, the European mainlands, the aboriginal traditions of southern, central and northern America… all of this can be traced and linked back to the Source. Those who are coming forth, awakening in this modern world, are feeling the call towards the ‘something’ that has brought us here in this time and place to serve a function that exists outside of time and space…

…we have not long to wait for the realization of our purpose: the uncovering and resurrection of the true source tradition from which we first emerged on this planet, which has been hidden from human sight and left to the politics of self-serving covert organizations to control.

…that time has ended.

…and a new era is in our midst.

The Green Man, Santa Claus, Norse Elves and Celtic Druids with Arcanum by Joshua Free

Druidryfrontcroptitlong

“Yes, Virigina, there is a Santa Claus…”

But its not the red and white clad portly gentleman portrayed by the Coca-Cola bottling company. That particular image has only been with us for about a century. It certainly has nothing to do with Saint Nicholas delivering toys to good Christian girls and boys either.

So, where did all of this Christmas season tomfoolery actually begin?

druidcomptinythumb As some people are actually aware — regarding Christmas, holly and ivy, mistletoe and the decorative evergreen tree — the common traditions and customs of the Christmas “Yuletide” holiday season all originate with the ancient system of the Celtic Druids!

For deeper insights into these mysteries, it is efficient and effective to turn to the ARCANUM work by Joshua Free.

“Emerging from the mists of pagan Europe is the face of a man, a forest spirit, only slightly distinguishable from the surrounding foliage. The Green Man is not really a single entity, but a composite archetypal energy that appears in many Celtic deities such as Cernunnos (or Kernunnos), the Dagda, Gwyn ap Nudd and Herne the Hunter.

“The name may have come familiarized as a result of the “Green Men,” a forest-based secret society involving such legendary characters as Robin Hood. The Green Man figure is sometimes horned or antlered revealing his position as “Lord of the Forest” and in some interpretations, “Lord of the Earth.” The Green Man establishes his position by grasping the serpent in one hand and the bull’s “torc” in the other.

arcanum2012thumb “In Edaphic lore, the dualistic fight for supremacy or Enlil-ship is ritually recognized each year by the metaphorical battle between the “light” Oak-King and the “dark” Holly-King. In the summer he is called the “Jack-in-the-Green,” and in the winter “Jack Frost.” In all cases, the anthropomorphic symbol of the Green Man represents the connection between mankind and the planet.

“The Green Man is sometimes equated with Oberon, the “King of the Elves,” though Oberon was really only one of many Dragon Kings. In Celtic mythology, one of his guises is “Gwyn ap Nudd” or “Gwaine, son of Nuada,” called “Lord of the Mounds.” Nuada is one of the Tuatha d’Anu, the famous faerie descendents of the Anunnaki in the Western European and Danubian interpretation. As “Lord of the Hunt,” Herne appears with the Elven hunting dogs, the cooshie.

“In some older European cathedrals the face of the Green Man can still be found lurking in corners, a reminder put in place by the architects and masons hired by the Church that Nature could never be truly forgotten.” — from ARCANUM by Joshua Free

Ancient Druidism, History of Modern NeoDruids, Celtic and non-Celtic Revivals with Joshua Free

Druidryfrontcroptitlong

The Druids were historically a learned group of men and women made popular during the “ancient” Celtic times. They formed their own communities in Keltia, what we more commonly know as Ireland, Britain and Gaul (now France). Their counsel and wisdom was sought out by many different groups of people and societies, particularly when some mediation was required.

druidcomptinythumb With much unhappiness I can easily say that the majority of the public texts involving the ancient Druids was documented or based on documents of the ancient Romans, who were notoriously the archenemy of the Druids. With this in mind, there is not much we can take for granted (or at the very least, unbiased) from these Roman accounts. After all, if we were responsible for preserving the memory of our enemies, how might we go about coloring this with our attitudes?

It is well known that the Druids held the Oak Tree as sacred, as well as the herb referred to as “mistletoe.” Both herbs make frequent appearances in Druidic rituals. It has become fairly well propagated knowledge, as well, that human sacrifices played some prominent role in their tradition as well. With the coming of Christianity, Druidism faced its final days with the ‘fall of the elves’ and the donation of the Roman Empire by Emperor Constantine to the establishment of the “Vatican” Catholic Church. The ‘End of Days’ for the Druids appeared to have come about in the sixth century, when it disappeared for a time…

BOEF2ndNewCvrthumb2 …but here we are now in the 20th century, going into the 21st [We are, of course, now in the 21st century at the time of printing. -Ed.] Druidism and neopaganism has begun to once again play a significant role in modern culture. It appears to have made a reappearance in the public’s eye sometime in the 1400’s and 1500’s, when Druidism was being studied by medieval historians and the first ‘books’ were written on the topic (post-Romana) explaining what was found from these studies. Lost manuscripts were being discovered in obscure places and many ancient writings were being deciphered by ‘antiquarians’.

In the 1600’s and 1700’s, colleges and universities in Europe were beginning to study this revived interest in the Druids more academically. Lost books containing ceremonies and rituals in varying European languages became the subject of interpretation among people from all walks of life. By the late 1800’s and beginning of the 1900’s, the word was spreading quickly about the revivalist traditions and systems of Druidry – and looking back we can see the period where the majority of what we academically learned about the Druids became solidified in public consciousness was during this time. What had begun as the uncovering of a myth was developing into a historical natural living religion.

Druidryfrontcrop English, Welsh and Irish nationalist founded a new order of Druids for modern times, calling themselves the “Ancient Order of Druids.” They set our to revive their own practical interpretation of the ancient Druid tradition – even reclaiming Stonehenge in the name of the Druids and observing public ceremonies there as often as possible. Soon after, because of tourism, Stonehenge began to show increasing signs of damage and the landowners decided to begin charging an entrance fee in order to offset maintenance costs. When the AOD showed up and refuse to pay, they were arrested accordingly for misconduct.

In the 1930’s the name of the revival changed to the “Ancient Order of Druid Hermeticists” – a membership that was composed of ex-AOD members by eighty percent. The AODH devised their own newsletter magazine titled Pendragon. By 1955 only one of the original five chapters of the AODH still existed – they even claimed to be the sole survivors practicing of the original Ancient Order of Druids (AOD)…

Druidic Wisdom & Pursuit of Truth Against The World explored by Maxine Bender

Druidryfrontcroptitlong

Chamberlains Contribution — first appearing in “Druidry” — a personal reflection and foreword by “Ace” Maxine Bender, Magician & Master:

DRUIDIC WISDOM & THE PURSUIT OF TRUTH

In the World which distinguishes the Druids, nothing more asserted their Honor than their duty to Truth. Legend has it they were not to tell a single lie. Did a Druid go against that, were they sentenced to death immediately. Imagine the lifestyle and habits that you would develop from practicing such a simple rule… for Truth is an extraordinary method to inquire questions and answers through one’s own individuality without illusion. Regardless of the fact that lies exist, the idea of Logic is founded upon the solid ground of Truth.

Druidryfrontcrop I have personally always regarded the distinct lessons at the core of Mythology. When I began my search years ago how many ways I can find to familiarize myself, learn MORE about life’s meaning, I stumbled upon Druidism. One of the few first things I learned about what the ancient Druid’s taught were learning to accept truth and trust my intuition when I wanted to follow my curiosity. They also taught Memory was essential, that you didn’t know who you are or where you’re going if you didn’t remember who you were and where you’re from.

The Druid’s believed in transmigration, otherwise known as reincarnation. We have experienced being born, being alive and death many times although our soul stays eternal. In Nature, all that is are interrelated with anything within the dimensions we exist in. It was said that we already know everything, we only but need to remember what we have already forgotten. This emphasizes how complex we are as an Identity, and celebrate being unique because without your special presence manifesting itself into History, Reality wouldn’t be the way it functions today.

druidcomptinythumb So many channels of energy are constantly clashing and colliding into and onto itself that eventually ordinary space is required to manifest to transmute the chaos into something unique. Everything has it’s own vibration that when in existence takes up space. Referring to basic laws and common sense, physically the space which is taken up by an object or soul can be moved but the same amount of space is still regardless used by that same object or soul when moved even at a new location…

Those whom have decided to be possessed with Wisdom and known as a Druid also were acknowledged often times as seers, astrologers, teachers, poets, judges. Divination is a technique that requires truth and intuition, both qualities Druid’s made a habit. Astronomy was used to predict the seasons and certain events. As teachers and judges, they were in numerous important roles where they resided in society to maintain Honor and Justice as it was deemed that they had unusual insights in regard to the Nature of circumstance… and couldn’t lie to sway certain influences into favor.

Druidryfrontcrop Druid’s had outstanding memories they could rely on to recall information having to do with understanding further deeper the Mysteries that when solved would lead to enlightenment, and for those incidents concerning society. They were taught to remember lengthy poems and songs, create their own, and recite stories word-for-word to sharpen their memory.

The Art of Druidism is a particular genealogy of knowledge ceremonializing enlightened awareness. This distinct Occult study alerts the practitioner to learn about fundamental Magic harmony. What is that? Before deciding what you want and need to perform Magic, it’s best to understand Magic. When you understand Magic, it becomes Natural to you. When it becomes Natural to you, you achieve harmony. (Morrigan, thank you.)
